Britain's biggest UFO mystery revealed by Air Force base chief

advertisement

London, Jul 9 (ANI): For years, Britain's biggest UFO mystery had been kept under wraps, but now an Air Force official has admitted that an "extra-terrestrial" craft did visit the air base at Rendlesham Forest in 1980.

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Former Deputy Base Commander Col Charles Halt claimed that even though the incident was later covered up, “extra-terrestrials” had been the cause of the close encounter in Suffolk.

Ooooo neat-o.

You know when you get new neighbors and you're supposed to bring them a gift and introduce yourself?
What do you bring to Aliens?

UFO stories always grab my attention. Perhaps because my brother and I have had opportunity to view such first hand. No, we do not live in the woods, both of us are university-educated with honors, and our parents are familially well-removed from one another. Or, maybe I just want to believe.

However, UFO does not mean extraterrestrial controlled by aliens. It means,

1. Unidentified

2. Flying

3. Object.

What we saw met those three criteria. It did, however, leave me with a little more respect for those persons making similar observations.

I have investigated the Rendlesham incident and found it to be better-observed, and better-supported than the usual sighting. The men genuinely observed the object(s) at very close range, and over a long period of time. What they saw was beyond their very informed knowledge of known craft.

Regardless, I cannot in all honesty say that I believe the Rendlesham UFO to be extraterrestrial. It is more likely that the men came across highly sensitive, advanced craft of Earthbound design.

If the object was a highly classified black project, then it is best left undisclosed to the public. It is in our national security interests to keep such secret. Extraterrestrial might be the best way to exit the subject without any leaks.

Then again, this just might be the real deal....

You decide.

I agree that the 'black ops' scenario is highly plausible. It could even be that this officer is spreading disinformation leading up to the 'alien' takeover of the world that is the smokescreen for establishing the New World Order. I don't know, but things are certainly getting interesting lately.

Agreed.

That new world order...well, it's been coming on for too many years. And should the new order come, will it be good for us? H-m-m-m-m.

Regardless, it seems to me that some news of the larger UFO phenomenon will be made known to the public at large within the next few years. There are many, many responsible persons of good background, risking ridicule by coming forward, and with very plausible stories.

The public is mentally primed for it--whatever 'it' is.

UFO denial is a faith-based, not evidence-based, religion.

Agreed, Jivatman. I've noticed that ufo inquirers are often much more skeptical of their interest than the deniers are of theirs.

Thanks for those links, Carloz.

So first thing is, if they have documentation, and I am sure they have, reveal it.

I would say this event likely was something unusual; either alien or military. I would guess the latter, owning to the fact that our radio broadcasts haven't spread out even 100 LYs, making the chances of detection of earth life from other planets fairly slim. This is one of the few cases which IMO has a decent chance of being an actual encounter.

This one does have all the bells and whistles alright, but my paranoia says what if it's all staged so as even to make the lower ranks believe it. It's about time for an alien invasion and takeover of our world by a superior species who will make all the rules, doncha think? Both hypotheses seem plausible to me, and I have no basis on which to choose. It should be on my trust of the government not to mislead us, but they already have been, so...?

UFO coverage will always be in the "weird news" section until there is a mass sighting with unimpeachable video evidence and credible witnesses. Or direct contact between the media and an intelligent species or visitor. I hope it does happen in my lifetime.

      Google - UFO cattle mutilations.

We had a 550 charlaois steer multilated once. Once was enough. Cattle had been run through fences. It was on a plateau with houses within 100 yards and 300 yards. No one saw or heard anything. One ear, and the anus, and penis had been surgically removed. No wounds, and no blood. We had a vet come out and look at it. He said UFO. We thought he was pulling our leg, but he said congress had had hearings about this.

UFO or not, there was no reasonable explanation.

Good grief! 550 cattle? That's too strange for a reasonable explanation, to be sure.

It was a 550 pound steer..no I'm sure we would have made news if it had been 550 head..just 1 steer that weighed 550 pounds...sorry about that. We found another steer in a pen 1/4 mile away that couldn't get up that had been in the pen where the multilation had taken place.

It was just really strange. And spooky, because we were out checking cattle during calving season all hours of the night.

There were those who tried to blame it on "devil-worshippers", but no footprints, no tire tracks. No evidence that a human had ever been there since we had been in the field the day before.

The "problem" with Rendlesham is very simple:

Either we have unknown entities or forces intruding or otherwise appearing near a base that happens to store nuclear weapons, the most powerful weapon we happen to have.

      OR

We have a base full of very powerful nuclear weapons staffed by guards who are seeing strange things in the woods.

Either answer is of beyond-extreme concern. Either way, this particular incident has always merited very careful and serious study. Rendlesham is a very scary incident indeed and it just gets scarier the more that is known or revealed about it.

Very good summary, kikaiju. I agree totally. On other possibility is that the aliens are 'us', i.e., our own military doing psy-ops.

Triangular craft sounds very much like stealth. A secret stealth vertical takeoff machine testing defenses? It's quite possible.
